Where to get high flavonoid chocolate ???

Buying dark chocolate for your health ? Yet, do you know what is in that chocolate or how it is made ? It would be like the difference of eating raw broccoli versus eating overcooked broccoli. The researchers included Norman Hollenberg, MD, PhD, professor of medicine at Harvard Medical School in Boston. He tells WebMD that cocoa’s flavonoids could improve heart health.

Don’t Reach for a Mug Yet ! "Though several products already contain flavonoid-rich cocoa powder, a flavonoid-rich cocoa drink isn't one of them yet", says Hollenberg.

What is your 40 Year Plan to retirement ?

Most of us have been raised, or deceived with the 40 year plan. We spend about 18 years of our lives in school then we hit the real world and start our career around the age of 25.

We work the 40 year plan hoping to be able to retire at 65, because they told us it works that way. You know, go to college, get a good job, climb the ladder and by the time you’re 65, you will have it made.

Well, you know what you get after working the 40 year plan?

Statistically, based on 100 people who started working at the age of 25… After 40 years!

31 – Are Dead

68 – are Dead Broke

1 – Is Financially Secure

So much for the 40 year plan!

BUT FOR WHAT?

What if you are like most who plan for their "future" retirement when they are in their forties, or even older ? To start the 40 year plan all over again at 48, go back to working for someone else who will control all of your time, allow you very little freedom, etc. etc. Work till you’re 88?

No Thanks! I’ll stick to the 4 year plan!

Do you know what the 4 year plan is? Well, in Network Marketing its very possible to create wealth and a substantial, residual income in only 4 years of hard work.

It is possible. Many have done it. But you know what the biggest problem is with the 4 year plan? People don’t stick with it. Normally to get started with a MLM or Network Marketing company the initial investment is so minimal, they look at it as a hobby. They pursue it for a few months and then quit!

The last time I checked, most hobbies don’t pay a whole lot!

Contrary to what a lot of MLM companies will tell you, it does require work! A fair amount of it I might add. They make it out to be so simple, just a few hours a week, you only need to get a couple of people under you and before you know it, it’s raining money!

Ha, yeah right! IF it were that simple, everyone would be doing it.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ll take this over the 40 year plan any day of the week! It really comes down to one thing!

Network Marketing was a $125 billion dollar industry in 2010 and it’s responsible for creating more millionaires than any other industry.

The chocolate industry offers a wide variety of opportunities for the small business owner, weathers economic recession well and is growing despite increased health-consciousness and calorie counting. Growth will be driven by population growth as well as expansion into new markets, product innovation and rising disposable income levels leading to greater purchasing of premium offerings.

Chocolate is wildly popular for individual consumption, gift giving and cooking. Due to the dominance of large-scale production dynasties, franchises and small businesses tend to focus on unique or specialty items or services. Unique chocolates may be from a region famous for a particular technique, baked on-site or offer a different take on tradition, while specialty services tend to focus on gift-packaging or delivery.

Chocolate Leads the Way

One of the primary demand drivers for chocolate and other sweets is consumer taste, and consumers continue to love chocolate! Long a beloved treat in the western world, a recent study in Great Britain showed that 91% of females and 87% of males consume chocolate products. But the taste for chocolate is now expanding into highly populated nations with a growing middle class, such as China and India. The candy and confection industry remained strong through the recent recession, with the chocolate industry in particular having strong sales despite belt tightening. Cocoa prices can be exceedingly variable as it is largely grown in developing nations with often unstable political situations. Lack of access to modern insecticides and fertilizers also makes production less predictable. Large producers of cocoa manage and absorb much of this risk, but will begin to pass on higher prices beyond a certain point.

Industry Trends

There are a number of trends within the chocolate industry that are driving growth; and product innovation in 2010 brought a 16% increase in new product releases over 2009. Increasing disposable incomes as well as changing public sentiments regarding health and our global community are the driving forces behind this growth in innovation.

Premium and specialty items have shown strong growth over the long-term. During the recession, there had been a shift away from premium items, but as the economy has continued to recover, sales of premium items have taken the lead again. High-end varieties can be baked on the premises, come from a renowned region or have a hidden secret recipe. Seasonal and boxed assorted chocolates have been experiencing the fastest growth, and sales are expected to expand 13% between 2010 and 2015. Holidays, birthdays, retirement parties and more, chocolate is a versatile gift for many occasions.

Over the last several decades there has been increased understanding of what constitutes a healthy diet, and there has been a dramatic increase in sales of sugar free, reduced fat and reduced calorie offerings. Dark chocolate is known to lower both blood pressure and cholesterol, and has nearly 8 times the number of antioxidants as found in strawberries. A recent survey found that 35% of respondents believe dark chocolate to be healthier, and it shows: sales grew 9% in 2009 versus 3.6% for the chocolate industry as a whole.

Fair-trade certified chocolate is another fast growing segment of the market, where consumers pay a premium to ensure goods are produced in an ethical manner. As our global community grows smaller with the communication revolution, it becomes glaringly obvious that goods produced in developing countries are often subject to horrible labor conditions or controlled by dominant industry participants. Fair Trade is an social movement aimed to promote sustainability in developing countries, and generally requires a higher price but conforms to higher social and environmental standards.

Eat chocolate for a living. Yes !

Chocolate has officially gone from being a guilty treat to health promoting. There are people all over the world that are eating chocolate for their health and turning that into a full or part time business. Think of the possibilities. The health and wellness business is a billion dollar venture, why not get your share ?
